You provide a full product inventory, including sizes, stock available, and minimum reserve pricing. The material inventory is populated to our proprietary software platform, potential bidders can register and validate their purchasing limit and begin building Bid Lots with available products. Once a Bid Lot is built, the bidder enters a single dollar amount for the entire Bid Lot. As long as the Bid amount submitted is equal to or greater than the value of the reserve for the material the Bid is accepted by the system and placed on hold for your review. You make the final decision on accepting or rejecting the bid.
August Auctions manages all aspects of marketing the auction through direct mail, email marketing, and digital mediums.
August Auctions provides assistance to users needing help with registration, building bids, and placing bids.
All funds are collected from bidders by credit card, wire, ACH, or check. These funds are managed by August Auctions, held in a separate account set up for your auction only. All sales tax and credit card and bank processing fees are paid from this account. We meet with you weekly to review system reports and bank statements for accuracy. Distribution of funds (minus fees and our commission) can be weekly or monthly.
There is a one-time cost of software set-up, agreed-upon marketing ad spend, and a fee of 15% of the gross revenue total.
